HP achieved world-class Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 scalability results of 10,520 MMB3 on a ProLiant DL580 G3 server.
The server was equipped with:
- Four Intel Xeon MP processors with EM64T technology (3.3GHz/8MB L3 cache)
- 160 – 36.4 GB 15K hard drives for the information store
- 56 – 36.4 GB 15K hard drives for the transaction logs
- 4 – 36.4 GB 15K SCSI hard disk drives for the Exchange files, operating systems and Active Directory files
