Using ProLiant Essentials to deploy and manage Citrix on HP BladeSystem

HP has hosted hands-on training sessions on the use of HP ProLiant Essentials tools to deploy and manage Citrix on HP blade servers.  This presentation is based on those training sessions, and is presented in PowerPoint style with embedded video including audio narration.  Proceeding through the presentation the viewer will witness;

  • Setting up the first blade server
  • Installing HP Rapid Deployment Pack (RDP)   
    o iLO Basics   
    o RDP Basics   
    o Build RDP Jobs
  • Using HP RDP to deploy on a blade server;   
    o The Citrix License server   
    o The first Citrix presentation server; creating the farm   
    o Additional Citrix Presentation Servers adding them to the farm   
    o Publish Applications (adding the new servers to support published applications)
  • Installing HP Systems Insight Manager
  • Installing the HP SIM / RDP integration module
  • Using RDP through SIM

This presentation contains 22 narrated video clips (almost 90 minutes in all) and most are under 5 minutes each.  The clips can be viewed separately and are great for adding to other presentations or using in a live situation with the audio muted and the speaker explaining what is being done on the screen.  Use the entire presentation or individual clips as introductory training for anyone wanting to learn about;
