Citrix XenServer is now available
integrated with select HP ProLiant servers, in addition to being separately
installed. The HP integrated Citrix XenServer provides significant additional
value compared to any other combination of server and virtualization software,
including the innovative ProLiant Virtual Console and other features that make
it possible to manage virtual machines as if they were physical servers.
For both the integrated and more traditional software installable versions,
Citrix and HP have jointly tested XenServer on ProLiant servers; enabling the
consolidation of multiple operating systems onto a single HP ProLiant tower,
rack mount or blade server. XenServer v4 supports Linux and Microsoft® Windows®
unmodified operating systems. Citrix XenServer v4 software leverages hardware
assisted virtualization technology from Intel® (Intel ®VT) for Intel ®EM64T
processors and from AMD (AMD-V) for Opteron processors.
