| The HP Transaction Processing Storage Planning Calculator for Microsoft SQL Server addresses one of the most critical areas of Microsoft SQL Server server sizing: I/O and storage capacity planning for the storage subsystem. The tool will help you determine the appropriate storage solution for your Microsoft SQL Server deployment. Using algorithms provided by HP’s SQL Server performance engineers, combined with your inputs and HP recommended values, this tool will calculate the number spindles, cabinets, and controllers required for multiple RAID levels, to meet your capacity and performance needs.
Version 1.5 of this tool has been updated to include:
- HP StorageWorks EVA 4000\6000\8000
- HP Smart Array P800 and additional SAS drive capacities
- HP All-in-One Storage Systems 600 and 1200
- This tool takes advantage of the power of the Microsoft .NET framework
- Automatic Deployment feature is supported by XML and automatically checks for new components to download such as new hardware components or new versions of the tool
