The HP ProLiant Transaction Processing Sizer for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 is an automated tool which helps you determine an optimum hardware configuration for your database server used in a transaction environment based on YOUR requirements. The tool was developed by HP in our software integration lab to support the implementation of transactional database systems using SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft Windows Server 2003. The ProLiant Transaction Processing Sizer for Microsoft SQL Server supports the HP ProLiant server family and appropriate options. The tool is also integrated with the HP StorageWorks Sizing tool, providing the ability to size a SAN or DAS infrastructure as part of the SQL Server environment. This tool provides a choice of server platforms including BL, DL, and ML configured with either Intel or AMD processors.
The tool generates recommendations based on a combination of user technical and business requirement input, and best practice recommendations for high performance SQL Server deployments.
