HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard:
- Integrates HP Serviceguard and Oracle Data Guard
- Provides availability for Data Guard itself
- Enables automatic Data Guard failover/switchover
- Adds more protection against data corruption
Availability for Oracle Data Guard with zero custom coding. Oracle database administrators use Oracle Data Guard for increased performance, simplified operations, immediate access to data replicas and to lower costs with standby copies of the database. Now, HP offers the HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard to provide robust high availability to this critical DBA tool.
- Mitigate implementation risks associated with integrating Oracle Data Guard into a Serviceguard cluster
- Save on the time, cost and effort required to integrate Oracle Data Guard into a Serviceguard cluster
- Complement the high availability provided by Oracle Data Guard to minimise downtime and data loss in your mission critical environment
- Provides high availability for Data Guard processes and the Data Guard broker
- Extends Serviceguard high availability to cover the entire application stack—not just Oracle Data Guard—if preferred
- Allows workload management, Instant Capacity, and other ID–VSE technologies to be controlled in concert with Serviceguard and Oracle Data Guard replication
The HP Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard assists in easy integration of Oracle Data Guard (ODG) with HP Serviceguard. ODG is the host-based data-replication software for Oracle Database. It provides management, monitoring, and automation features to create and maintain one or more standby databases to protect data from failures, disasters, human error, and data corruptions. To provide High Availability (HA) so that data replication continues in the face of failures, ODG can be deployed in a Serviceguard cluster.
- Current version: Serviceguard Toolkit for Oracle Data Guard B.01.00
